David Kehoe

A biology professor at Indiana University, David Kehoe began his rowing career as a walk-on member of the University of California Santa Barbara rowing team, placed second in national competition, then moved to the University of Washington.

After selection for the U.S. National Rowing Team in 1979, he made the 1980 U.S. Olympic Team, although the United States subsequently boycotted the Moscow Olympics that year. 

During his years at University of Washington, he raced against Stanford, Princeton, Harvard, and Yale, among other elite teams, as well as competing in other countries. 

A long-time member and coach of RPRA, he has volunteered countless hours, coaching Learn-to-Row sessions, a Juniors program, and private coaching.  

Brie Stark

Brie Stark started rowing in 2008 and transitioned to coxing in 2009.

She was captain of Bryn Mawr College Crew, then joined Cambridge University Women’s Boat Club. During her four-year stint in England, she coxed collegiate and Masters rowers from numerous European clubs.

She is Level II Coaching-certified through US Rowing, and coached the Master and Junior programs at Columbia (SC) Rowing Club.

She is currently a Midwest-based referee with US Rowing, officiating Junior, Collegiate, and Master events. She also serves as the IU Rowing Club Academic Advisor and Cox Coach. She’s coxed in some of the biggest races in the world, including Henley Royal, Head of the Charles, and Head of the River (London) regattas. She does private cox coaching and integrates her academic training in neuroscience and language science into improving coxing communication and rapport.
